Hello, roses!
The day I bought this house, I realized roses bloomed beneath the dining room windows. Of all the things I scrutinized when house buying — location and purchase price and paint — I never considered these old, overgrown rose bushes. So early in the season, Japanese beetles haven’t yet set in with their hunger. The blossoms emit the sweetest fragrance, drifting around the back of the house.
Hello, gorgeous and ineffable summer.
There will never be more of summer
than there is now.
Love it! My roses are in full bloom, and in the evening and early morning especially, when I walk down the path I’m immersed in the most heavenly fragrance. Happy summer!
Nice! Enjoy your roses, too!
Ah, 🌹 roses
– I just came in from watering all of mine. They’re exploding with blossoms this year. I consider them an essential part of my garden- the scent is divine! Glad you have some to enjoy, too.
I’ve noticed it’s amazing year for roses, too — especially after we had so few apple blossoms. Keep watering — it’s dry. 🙂
They look lovely!
The look so beautiful!
Thanks for the Like, Brett Ann. Good to connect.
